DESCRIPTION:Course Goals and Description\nCourse objectives\n\nReview of developmental kinesiology in the context of adult optimal posture, sports performance and global motor patterns to enhance outcomes in sport and human movement.\nDemonstrate exercises in higher developmental positions – tripod, bear, squat, lunge, step up and its modifications & training of body awareness.\nDemonstrate exercises utilizing the principles of developmental kinesiology with elastic bands,\nbarbells, weights, and gymball\nDiscuss & demonstrate DNS exercises for specific sport techniques: throwing, jumping, stroke,\nskating etc.\nStudents who want to work towards DNS Trainer certification must pass an online test after DNS\nExercise course part II, and before taking DNS Exercise course part III.\n\n \nDNS Trainer Practical Certification Test\nThis test is the test to become a DNS Certified Trainer.\nIt is performed at the end of the DNS Exercise Part 3 course.\nThe test requires you to demonstrate and explain the following functional DNS tests:\n\nDescribe optimal performance of the tests below.\nIdentify any stabilization faults on your colleague for the tests below.\nExplain possible causes of the abnormal stereotype for the tests below.\n\n\nDiaphragm test in sitting\nDiaphragm test in prone\nntra-abdominal pressure regulation test in supine\nntra-abdominal pressure regulation test in sitting\nHead flexion test in supine\nThoracic extension test\nQuadruped test\nBear test\nSquat test\n\n \nDescribe Exercises in the following developmental positions:\n\n3months supine & modifications\n3months prone & modifications\n5months side lying\n6months supine\n7.5months oblique sitting with forearm support\n8months oblique sitting with hand support\nQuadruped exercise – modification for shoulder girdle and arm\nQuadruped exercise – modification for pelvic girdle and leg\nTripod\nHigh kneeling\nBear\nSquat\nHanging stance\n\nYou are required to demonstrate the exercise on your colleague. You should be able to suggest any corrections to perform properly and explain possible modification for progressions.
